More To Learn provides online tutoring and/or homework assistance for students in grades K-12. More To Learn also assists adult learners with literacy skills such as tutoring in reading and editing assistance in writing.
During a private tutoring session, your student will work with a certified reading specialist licensed teacher or instructional assistant. Students will be engaged with interactive digital lessons that focus on phonics, sight words/vocabulary, prosody and comprehension, and language arts(writing, grammar, etc.).
Through technology students are given skills to help them master the North Carolina Standard Course of Study requirements in: Reading Literature, Reading Informational, Foundational Skills, Speaking and Listening, and Language.
More To Learn provides your student with support in the five major areas of reading: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary and Comprehension.
Students will be guided through a variety of interactive digital assignments and games that promote reading comprehension including but not limited to: Word Work, Listening to reading, Reading aloud, Reading to self, and Writing.

Through technology More To Learn Tutoring assists students in foundational and language skills required by the North Carolina State Standards such as: Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills, Demonstrate English grammar when speaking and writing, Demonstrate capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing, and to Use knowledge of language and its conventions.
